Nature of Being brings together a group of eight painters whose work considers our place within the natural
world, not simply as observers of it, but as participants in something larger, older, and often unknowable.
Across the exhibition, nature becomes a space of refuge, memory, transformation, mystery, and connection.
Forests, water, flora, organic forms, atmosphere, and imagined environments function as more than scenery;
they become psychological and emotional territories through which ideas of identity, solitude, belonging,
and consciousness can unfold.
The exhibition suggests that our relationship to nature is both deeply intimate and fundamentally mysterious.
We recognize ourselves in its cycles of growth and decay, beauty and danger, order and chaos, while
remaining aware that the natural world exists far beyond us and without us. Nature of Being explores that
tension: the desire to feel rooted in the world while confronting the strangeness of simply being alive within
it. Collectively, the paintings ask what it means to belong, both to a place and to the larger living system of
which we are an inseparable part.
